About Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a hands-on therapy designed to address tension and restrictions in the fascia and surrounding soft tissue. At Club Five Health, Myofascial Release is used as part of personalized programs focused on pain relief, mobility, recovery, rehabilitation, and performance.
Myofascial Release is a hands-on therapy that addresses tension and restrictions in the fascia and surrounding soft tissue. Fascia is a connective tissue network that surrounds and connects muscles, joints, and other structures throughout the body.
During treatment, a trained provider applies controlled pressure and movement to targeted areas of soft tissue. The goal is to help improve tissue mobility and restore more comfortable movement. You may experience pressure or mild discomfort as restricted areas are addressed. Treatment should remain tolerable, and your provider adjusts the intensity based on your response.
Treatment can be incorporated into programs focused on muscle tightness and muscle or joint discomfort.
The goal is to help improve tissue mobility and restore more comfortable movement when mobility is limited.
Myofascial Release may be used as part of exercise recovery, sports performance, and rehabilitation.
It can sit inside a plan that also addresses postural and movement patterns, not only a single tight spot.
Myofascial Release can be incorporated into sports recovery, mobility, rehabilitation, and performance programs. It may help improve short-term tissue mobility and range of motion, particularly when combined with appropriate stretching and movement training. It can be combined with chiropractic adjustments and other manual therapies.
